8180Films Inks Distribution Deals for CHRISTINA

Christina8180 LLC has signed separate distribution deal agreements with Indican Pictures of West Hollywood and EBS World Entertainment Corporation of Santa Monica, California for 8180Films’ first feature film, CHRISTINA. Noor Ahmed of the firm Reder & Feig (Beverly Hills, California) negotiated both deals as the Producer Representative on behalf of 8180Films LLC and Christina8180 LLC. “With a lot of distributors coming and going in the film industry, Indican Pictures is a company who has had strong staying power in the market place and a solid reputation,” stated Ahmed. “And EBS is a great match for CHRISTINA, because of the company’s understanding of the emerging distribution platforms now available in the global market.”

The Indican Pictures deal applies to non-theatrical distribution of CHRISTINA in the United States, Canada and “their respective territories, commonwealths, colonies and possessions.” It includes home video, commercial video, pay television, free television, pay per view, internet/online, and ancillary airline, ships and hotels.

According to their website, Indican Pictures distributes “quality independent films ranging from documentaries to foreign films to children’s product and independent movies with an American flair.” Their past releases include Flash of Genius, In the Valley of Elah, Thank You For Smoking, Good Dick and Brick.

The EBS World Entertainment deal with CHRISTINA applies to “Non-U.S.A. all media” including foreign theatrical screenings. As their website says, “The Company (which was previously known as EBS/Atlanta-Los Angeles) was renamed EBS World Entertainment Corporation in 2004 to better reflect the global scope of its business. Its releases are a mix of theatrical and straight-to-video products encompassing action, comedy, drama, family, sci-fi, horror, documentaries, special interest and foreign language films.” The Company is a member of the First Benecorp (USA) group of companies. Other recent EBS World Entertainment releases include Buffalo Bushido, Desdemona, The Dark House, Heist and Infinity Himalaya.

"Making a low budget indie film with a great cast, director and script is only part of the equation -- marketing it is the other,” says Executive Producer Rebecca Reynolds.  “At 8180Films we feel fortunate to have two respected companies, Indican Pictures and EBS World Entertainment, who not only embrace a small cast, art house-style drama like Christina, but who also know how to represent it in today's every-changing marketplace."
